You can put this solution on YOUR website! First group all x variables on the left by subtracting 7x from both sides
-3x - 9x - 9 - 7x = 7x - 7x
leaving
-3x - 9x - 9 - 7x = 0

Now move the 9 to the right side by additing it to both sides
-3x - 9x - 9 + 9 - 7x = 0 + 9
leaving
-3x - 9x - 7x = 9
...
Add the coefficients of x
-3 - 9 - 7 = -19
-19x = 9
...
Divide both sides by -19 to isolate the x variable
