Hello!
This problem can be solved by distributing.
The number 2 on the outside of the parenthesis must be "distributed" to the numbers on the inside of the parenthesis.
You do this by multiplying 2 times 2x and 2 times 5.
The result would then be as follows:
4x+10=4x+10
Then you subtract and solve for x.
And then there you have it! Easy as pie! :) I hope this helped.
