Standard deviation and variance can be a little tricky, so I suggest you just read in your math book how to do those types of problems. I know them pretty well, but I won't take any chances.
To find the range, all you have to do is find the highest number and the lowest number in the sequence (since there are no negative numbers, this one is easy).
Thus, in this sequence of numbers, the range is as follows: 87-1 = 86. In other words, this sequence has the potential to cover 86 numbers between the 1 and the 87.
