You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The complement of an angle is an angle that when added to another angle = 90 degrees
let the complement angle = x
the smaller angle = x-12
addes together they equal 90 degrees
x+x-12=90
combine like terms
2x-12=90
add 12 to both sides
2x=102
divide both sides by 2
x=51
the smaller angle is 51-12= 39
51+39=90
the smaller angle is 39 degrees

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let the compliment angle is x
so the angle is x-12
as per question x+x-12=90
or 2x=90+12=102
ox x=51
& the smaller angle=90-51=39
