What number is (blank) of (blank). I'd like to learn the meaning of the words. I kind of understand, until it's reworded.
How to write a percent equation in terms of x. Then solve the equation.
Examples would be great too. I am hoping to understand and learn for my exam.

.25(125) = 31.25
...
15 is what percent of 85
x(85) = 15
divide both sides by 85
x = 15%2F85 = .1765
.1765 * 100 = 17.65%
