You can put this solution on YOUR website! Mr. Lynch owns (3/7) of the business and his share of the profits for the year was $60,000. Wilbur only owned (1/28) of the business. What was Wilbur's share of the profits?
3/7=12/28
So 12/28=$60,000 divide both sides by 12
1/28(12/12)=$60,000/12
1/28=$5,000----------------------Wilbur's share
Hope this helps----ptaylor
