Question 673845: I Computed the following: P(5) using the formula P(x) = –x2 + 110x – 1,000, however i am having trouble on how to graph the function. my result was for the following:P(5) = -(5)2 + 110(5) – 1,000 to P(5) = -25 + 550 – 1,000 to P(5) = -475 (or calculated in thousands 475,000)Now im not sure how to graph it. can you help me?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Hi,
P(x) = –x^2 + 110x – 1,000 || yes, P(5)= -475
P(x) = -(x-55)^2 + 55^2 - 1000
P(x) = -(x-55)^2 + 2025 ||Parabola opening downward V(55,2025)
0 = -(x-55)^2 + 2025
(x-55)^2 = 2025
x = 55 ± 45, x-intercepts are 10 and 100
sketching: important to get in your Vertex and x-intercepts
