The simplest way to find the y-intercept is to let x = 0 and solve for y.
2x+-+5y+=+-10 Let x = 0 Recall that the y-axis crosses the x-axis at x = 0.
-5y+=+-10 Divide both sides by -5.
y+=+2
The y-intercept is at (0, 2)
