Question 67314: Hello to anyone who can help me and do thank you very much.I have four problem I need help with badly,the problem is solve the equation for x: 5(X-3)divided by 4=x+1,the next one is 3(x=12)divided by 5=x+2,the third problem is,solve for n, 2over3n+4=10-4over3n,and the last one is,if c=5over6 and d=1over4,evaluate:8cover-d thank you for whoever helps me because I can use it.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 5(X-3)/4=x+1
5x-15=4x+4
x=19
----------------
3(x+12)/5 = x+2
3x+36=5x+10
2x=26
x=13
-----------
2/(3n+4)=10-4/3n
2/(3n+4) = (30n-4)/3n
Cross-multiply to get:
6n=(3n+4)(30n-4)
6n=90n^2+108n-16
90n^2+102n-16=0
45n^2+51n-8=0
Use the quadratic formula to get:
n=[-51+-sqrt(51^2-4*45*-8)]/90
n=[-51+-sqrt(4041)]/90
n=0.139654... or n=-1.27298...
---------
c=5over6 and d=1over4,evaluate:8cover-d
8c/(-d)=8*5/(-1/4)= 40/(-1/4)=-160
---------

Stan H.
