Question 672156: Juan has $780 in a savings account. He is depositing $75 every week. What is his balance after w weeks? Write in slope-intercept form.
Answer by neatmath(302) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! You can use 780 as the y-intercept.
The 75 dollars is basically the slope of the line.
Let's use slope-intercept form:
where m is the slope, and b is the y-intercept.
Then we have:

This would be the proper equation and would tell you how much money he has after w weeks.
For instance, Week 0, when he hasn't deposited any money above the $780,
his balance is simply $780.
Week 1, it is now $780 plus $75, or $855.
You can now use that equation to find out his balance after any number of weeks,
even decades later!!!
I hope this helps! :)
