Question 671797: I have a mixture problem for Basic Algebra that I'm having trouble figuring out.
The problem is: You need 25 liters of a 12% salt solution. To get it, you'll mix a 4% solution with a 19% solution. How many liters of each will you need. I have tried many times to solve this problem, but I keep getting a negative number.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You need 25 liters of a 12% salt solution. To get it, you'll mix a 4% solution with a 19% solution. How many liters of each will you need.
----------------
f = amount of 4%
n = amount of 19%
---------
f + n = 25 (total solution)
4f + 19n = 12*25 (total salt)
