You can put this solution on YOUR website! All linear equations have a domain of all real numbers and a range of all real numbers. Visualize a linear graph. It is, in essence, a straight line. Now think about this: Is there any number that you could plug into x that would NOT produce a value for y? The answer is no. The graph of any linear equation goes on infinitely in both the positive and negative direction. Likewise, we can take any value for y we choose and find a value for x that will produce this value. I hope this helps and not confuses. The easiest way to find the domain and range of a function is to visualize the graph.
