Hi,

The measure of the supplementhighlight%28180-x%29 of an anglehighlight%28x%29

is 40 less than three times the measure of the angle.

 (180°-x) = 3x-40

   220° = 4x

   55°  = x,  Its supplement is 125°

and

 125° = 165°-40°
