: If f(x) = 5x - 1, Find the following: f(a - 2).
I am having some difficulty understanding how to solve this problem. I am trying to do other ones but if I could get someone to show me how to work this one, I could problably get through the rest of them with no problems. This question is from textbook Beginning Algebra
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find: f(a-2) if f(x) = 5x-1
Just replace the x with (a-2) and evaluate.
f(a-2) = 5(a-2)-1 Simplify.
f(a-2) = 5a-10-1
f(a-2) = 5a-11
