You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A ski slope at a mountain forms an angle of 30 degrees with the base. If the height of the slope is 1800 feet, what is the length of the ski slope to the nearest foot?
:
The length of the slope would be the hypotenuse (h),
the height(1800 ft) would be the side opposite the angle (30 degrees)
:
Use the sine of 30 degrees:
sin(30) = 1800/h
.5 = 1800/h
.5h = 1800
h = 1800/.5
h = 3600 ft
