You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let C = cost of the car
C*0.009 = 1790
C = 1790/0.009
C = 198,888.888888889
C = 198,888.89
So the car is $198,888.89
This seems a bit high. So could the problem really be
"when the cost of a car is multiplied by 0.09 the result is $1790. find the cost of the car.
Notice the change in red
If so, then
C*0.09 = 1790
C = 1790/0.09
C = 19,888.888888889
C = 19,888.89
So the car is $19,888.89
