Question 66822This question is from textbook
: Here is the original question and answer this is based off of: Think about a real-life situation that follows a linear equation, with the independent variable being Years. What would the slope tell you about future years?
:
A real life situation where an independent variable representing years would be in the medical field. For instance, a doctor examining an individual who smoked would show signs of damage done to the individuals lungs because of the smoking. The variable would independently represent the years the individuals smoked.
:
Now my instructor wants us to create and equation or inequality that could be used for analysis, prediction, or decision making. Then, draw a graph to depict the variables in your situation. Use your graph and what you know about linear inequalities to discuss the significance of your findings.
:
I came up with the 29 year old that has smoked for 12 years. I do not know what to do or how to do this. Help is despratley needed here. :0) Thanks. This question is from textbook
You can put this solution on YOUR website! If adult lung capacity is 800 cc the following equation
shows an adults lung capacity after t years of smoking:
L(t) <= 800-20t
Questions: After how many years of smoking will lung
capacity be below 50%?
Questions: After how many years of smoking would lung
capacity cease to support life?
