Question 66765: Alpha Band charges $600 to play for the evening. Band Bodacious charges $350 plus $1.25 for each ticket.
Write a linear equation for the cost of each band. Graph each equation on the same coordinate plane and find the number of tickets for which the cost of the two bands will be equal.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Alpha Band charges $600 to play for the evening. Band Bodacious charges $350 plus $1.25 for each ticket.
Write a linear equation for the cost of each band.
--------------
Let "x" be number of tickets sold.
Alpha: C(x)=600
Boda: C(x)=350+1.25x
graph%28600%2C400%2C-1%2C700%2C-1%2C700%2C600%2C1.25x%2B350%29
The lines will intersect when 1.25x+350=600
1.25x=250
x=200
