Question 66752: This is a question that is regarding an algebra problem, which my web homework is a review over this semester. I remember doing these types of equations about 3 or 4 years ago, but I am having trouble recalling how to execute the problem. The problem is as follows...
If we rewrite the expression 3/x(x-1)(x-2) as (A/x)+(B/x-1)+(C/x-2), what are the values of the variables A, B, and C?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! This is a question that is regarding an algebra problem, which my web homework is a review over this semester. I remember doing these types of equations about 3 or 4 years ago, but I am having trouble recalling how to execute the problem. The problem is as follows...
If we rewrite the expression
3/x(x-1)(x-2) = (A/x)+(B/x-1)+(C/x-2)
MULTIPLY THROUGH OUT WITH X(X-1)(X-2)
A(X-1)(X-2)+B(X)(X-2)+C(X)(X-1)=3
PUT X=0,1,2
AT X=0...............A*(-1)*(-2)=3
A=3/2
AT X=1...............B*1*(-1)=3
B=-3
AT X=2...........C*2*1=3
C=3/2
, what are the values of the variables A, B, and C?
