Suppose we want to determine the (binomial) probability (p) of getting 2 heads in 5 flips of a 2-sided coin. Using the Binomial Table (Table 2 in Appendix B) of the text, what values of n, x, and p would we use to look up this probability, and what would be the probability?
thank you in advance
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Suppose we want to determine the (binomial) probability (p) of getting 2 heads in 5 flips of a 2-sided coin.
-------
P(x=2) = 5C2(1/2)^2*(1/2)^3 = 10/32 = 0.3125

Stan H.
