You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/3*X+1/5(X+1)=5
X/3+(X+1)/5=5
FIND A COMMON DENOMINATOR.
3*5=15
[5X+3(X+1)]/15=5
[5X+3X+3]/15=5 CROSS MULTIPLY
8X+3=5*15
8X+3=75
8X=75-3
8X=72
X=72/8
X=9 ANS. FOR THE FIRST NUMBER.
8+1=9 ANS. THE SECOND NUMBER.
8+9=17 ANS. FOR THE SUM.
