You can put this solution on YOUR website!
multiply 3 by each therm in the parentheses (x + 4)
y + 4 = (3 (x) + 3 (4))
y + 4 = (3x + 12)
since 4 does not contain the variable to solve substracting 4 by the right hand side of the equation
y = -4 + 3x +12
12 - 4 = 8

y= 8 + 3x
reorder the polynomial 8+3x alphabetically from left to right and to find the slope and y intercept use the y = mx + b formula
y = 3x + 8

m= slope and b is the y intercept
m = 3 , b = 8
