9 + 1/3 * 1 + 5/7 * 3/4
make an improper fraction out of this.

9 + 1/3 becomes 28/3
1 + 5/7 becomes 12/7
3/4 stays at 3/4

multiply all the numerators together to get 28 * 12 * 3 = 1008
multiply all the denominators together to get 3 * 7 * 4 = 84

answer is 1008 / 84
simplify this to get 12

that's your answer.
