Question 664331: Hello,
Can you assist me with a formula to figure out the correct answer of 70 hrs?
Tyler works in his garden for 2 hours and 20 minutes, 5 days a week. After 6 weeks, how many hours has Tyler spent gardening? 70 hrs.
I am having difficuties in finding this answer. Here is what i came up with so far:
1 min
2 hr + 20 min x --------
60 sec
2 hr + 60/20 ( 3)
2 hr + 3
5 hr x 6 wk = 30hr --->wrong
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Just in case you are yet in need of a solution...
Start with 2 hours 20 minutes.
Convert it to hours only
1 hour/60 min (20 min) = 20/60 = 1/3 hour or .333
..
So, 2 hours and 20 minutes is:
2 hr + .33 hour = 2.33 hours
2.33(5) = 11.67
11.67(6) = 70 hours
