32 = 3y^2 - 4y
As a quadratic
3y^2 - 4y - 32 = 0
(3y+8)(y-4) mixed signs due to - 4 and - 32.
Check with FOIL
3y^2 - 12y + 8y - 32 = 0
3y^2 - 4y - 32: confirmed
