Plug in the given numbers and do the arithmetic.  Next time do NOT use "x" to represent multiplication.  Use *, parentheses, or in this case where you have a constant times a variable, just use ajacency, thus:  3 * n or 3(n), or (3)n, or (3)(n), or just 3n.
