Question 663897: Find the X-intercept and the Y-intercept of the graph of 3y= 2x-6
How do I find these out? Found 2 solutions by Theo, Alan3354:Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! to find the x intercept set y = 0 and solve for x.
to find the y intercept set x = 0 and solve for y.
equation is 3y = 2x - 6
when y = 0 the equation becomes 0 = 2x - 6 leading to x = 3
when x = 0 the equation becomes 3y = -6 leading to y = -2
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Find the X-intercept and the Y-intercept of the graph of 3y= 2x-6
How do I find these out?
-------------------
The y-int is the intersection of the line and the y-axis. Along the y-axis, x = 0.
-----
v.v. for the x-intercept.
===================
3y= 2x-6
For the y-int, called b
x = 0
3y = -6
y = -2
b = (0,-2)
------------
Do the x-int the same way.
