AC congruent CE by defn midpoint, BC congruent CD given, AD = AC + CD and BE = BC + CE by the partition postulate, AC + CD = AC + BC by substitution, AC + BC = BC + CE by substitution, AC + CD = BC + CE by transitive equality, therefore AD = BE by substitution, Q.E.D.
