You can put this solution on YOUR website! If one runner that runs at 14.6 feet per second, another runner that runs at 11.3 feet per second, and one lap around the track is 660 feet; then after how many seconds will the faster runner be exactly one lap ahead of the other runner?
---
faster runner DATA:
rate = 14.6 ft/sec ; time = x hrs: distance 14.6x feet
------
slower runner DATA:
rate = 11.3 ft/sec ; time = x hrs; distance = 11.3x feet
-----
Equation:
faster dist - slower dist = 660
14.6x - 11.3x = 660
-------
3.3x = 660
x = 200 seconds
