: Write the equation of the line L satisfying the given geometric conditions.
L has y-intercept (0, 2) and is perpendicular to the line with equation 2x - 3y = 6.
This one has me a little confussed. Can anyone show me how to do this? Any help would be greatful. Thanks.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A point on the line is (0,2) and perpendicular to
2x+-+3y+=+6
-3y+=+-2x+%2B+6
y+=+%282%2F3%29x+-+6 the form is y = mx + b
If m is the slope -(1/m) is the perpendicular slope
Use the point-slope formula
%28y+-+2%29+%2F+%28x+-+0%29+=+-%283%2F2%29
y+-+2+=+-%283%2F2%29x
y+=+-%283%2F2%29x+%2B+2 answer
