Hi,
%28w-3%29%2F2%2B%28w-4%29%2F3=12 |Multiplying thru by 6 so as all denominators = 1
3(w-3) + 2(w-4) = 72
3w - 9 + 2w - 8 = 72
5w = 89
w = 17.8

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

%28w-3%29%2F2%2B%28w-4%29%2F3=12...to eliminate denominator, find LCD...for 2, 3, LCD is 6

%28w-3%293%2F2%2A3%2B%28w-4%29%2A2%2F3%2A2=12

%283w-9%29%2F6%2B%282w-8%29%2F6=12.....both sides multiply by 6

%283w-9%29%2A6%2F6%2B%282w-8%29%2A6%2F6=12%2A6

%283w-9%29%2Across%286%29%2Fcross%286%29%2B%282w-8%29%2Across%286%29%2Fcross%286%29=72

3w-9%2B2w-8=72

5w-17=72

5w=72%2B17

5w=89

w=89%2F5

w=17.8
