x = 3y - 3
Substitute the second equation in the first
3y - 3 + y = 29
Combine like terms
4y - 3 + 3 = 29 + 3
4y = 32
4y/4 = 32/4
y = 8
x = 3(8) - 3 = 24 - 3 = 21
x=21, y=8
