You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Evaluate:
1. tan [(Arcsec -10)/2]
=tan [(Arccos(-1/10)/2]
using calculator set to radians
=tan [1.67/2]
=tan(.835)
=1.104
..
2. tan [Arctan2-Arccos 3/5]
= tan [1.107-.684]
= tan [.423]
=.450
..
3. 4cos^2(x/2)
= -sqrt(2) (sin(sin^-1(-1/sqrt(2))))
=-√2(sin(arcsin(-1/√2)
=-√2(-1/√2)
=1
4cos^2(x/2)=1
cos^2(x/2)=1/4
take sqrt of both sides
cos(x/2)=1/2
x/2=π/3
x=2π/3
