You can put this solution on YOUR website!
standard form of equation
slope=-3/5, y-intercept=5
------
y = (-3/5)x + 5
------
Multiply thru by 5 to get:
5y = -3x + 25
-----
3x + 5y = 25
That is the standard form.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

the standard form for linear equations:
Ax+%2B+By+=+C
if slope=-3%2F5, y-intercept=5, then
y=-%283%2F5%29x%2B5........slope-intercept form
y=-%283%2F5%29x%2B5.......both sides multiply by 5
5y=-3x%2B25...move -3x to the left
highlight%283x%2B5y=25%29.....the standard form
