4x - y = 20 ....... Eqn 1
-2x -y = 10 ........ Eqn 2
subtrating eqn 2 from 1
4x - - 2x -y - -y = 20 - 10
6x = 10
x = 5/3
subt x in eqn 1
4(5/3) - y = 20
20/3 - y = 20
-y = 20 - 20/3
-y = 40/3
y = - 40/3
