Assume Dinos age now is y
12 years ago Dinos age y-12

8 times of that 8*(y-12)
in 30 years Dinos age y + 30

The equation will be
y + 30 = 8*(y-12)
y + 30 = 8y -96
y - 8y = -126
-7y = -126
y = -126/-7 = 18

Since y is the Dinos age now
Dino is 18 years old
