(x-4)(x+6)
x-4=0
x=4 one intercept on the x axis
x+6=0
x=-6 another x intercept
coordinates of vertex
x=(4-6)/2
x=-2/2
x=-1
y=-1*-1+2*-1-24
y=1-2-24
y=1-26
y=-25 then the vertex is (-1,-25)
