Depends. Surface area could mean Total Surface area (the sum of the areas of the six faces) or Lateral Surface Area (the sum of the area of the 4 faces that are not bases). So, depending on what you meant, either divide 24 by 6 or 24 by 4 to get the area of one of the faces. Take the square root to get one of the edges. Cube the result.
