Find two numbers whose sum is 60 and whose difference is 36?

x + y = 60
x-y = 36
---
Add and solve for "x":
2x = 96
x = 48
----
Solve for "y":
x + y = 60
48 + y = 60
y = 60-48
y = 12

I don't know how to "fing" one number, much less two of them. I do know how to "find" numbers, but that isn't what you asked, was it?
