You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Jack cleans the house at the rate of 1%2F4 house per hour
Jose cleans house at the rate of 1%2F6 house per hour
Adding 1%2F4+%2B+1%2F6=%283%2B2%29%2F12 gives you 5%2F12.
So together they clean 5%2F12 of a house in one hour.
To clean one house together, it will take them 5%2F12=1%2Fx of an hour, or
5x=12
x=12%2F5 which is x=2.4 hours or x=2 hours and .4%2A60=24 minutes
