There's a trick that you can remember to make this easier, when multiplying like this, if you have an odd number of - signs the answer is negative, if there is an even number of - signs, the answer is positive.
10. Simplify: –(–(–7))
In this case you have 3 - signs, three is odd so the answer is -7
:
If you had of had -(-(-(-(-(-7))))), there are 6 - signs, six is even so the answer would be +7.
