Question 651095: I am having a problem solving the following story problem. I got it wrong on my quiz and have to fix it. The problem says: One of the angles of a parallelogram measures 15 less than 2 times the measure of the angle next to it. Find the measure of all 4 of the angles. (Remember all the angles add up to 360 degrees). I put: x+x+x+2x-15 = 360
after doing the math, I got x = 75 degrees
It was marked wrong. I am lost about if I did the equation wrong.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The sum of adjacent angles must
add up to 180 degrees
given:
Let +a+ = the unknown angle
+a+=+2%2A%28+180+-+a+%29+-+15+
+a+=+360+-+2a+-+15+
+3a+=+345+
+a+=+115+
+180+-+a+=+180+-+115+
+180+-+a+=+65+
The angles are 65,65,115 and 115
checvk:
+2%2A65+%2B+2%2A115+=+360+
+130++%2B+230+=+360+
+360+=+360+
OK
