You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If the base of a rectangle is increased by 10% and the area is unchanged by what percentage is the width decresed by and what is the formula?
-----------------
Area = L*W
x = the multiplier of the other dimension
Area = (L*x)*(W*1.1) = L*W
L*W*x*1.1 = L*W
x*1.1 = 1
x = 1/1.1 = 0.909090...
% change = 100*(1 - x)
= 9.0909...%
=================
There isn't always "a formula"
