Write the expression in terms of the logarithms of x and y:
log 5x^2/square root of y
y is under a square root symbol

Using the quotient rule you get:
= [log 5x^2] - [log sqrt y]
Using the product rule and the power rule you get:
=[log 5 + 2log x] - [(1/2)log y]
Simplify to get:
=log 5 + 2logx -(1/2)log y
