I guess what you're asking is for this expression to be simplified. From your explanantion it seems as though the problem states that r is NOT equal to 2, or - 2, or (r+%3C%3E+2_or_r+%3C%3E+-+2). If it were then the the expression would be UNDEFINED.

%28%28r+-+3%29%28r+-+2%29%29%2F%28%28r+-+2%29%28r+%2B+2%29%29 ----- Factoring numerator and denominator
