I don't like fractions, so the first thing I'm going to do is multiply every term by the gcd of the denominators... in this case 6. Now since this is an expression, I will need to divide everything by 6 when I get my final answer.
36+-+4%28x%2B3%29+%2B+5x
36+-4x+-12+%2B5x
24+%2Bx
Now remember to divide by 6.
%28x%2B24%29%2F6 <--- algebrator answer
Now distribute through the 1/6
x%2F6+%2B24%2F6
4+%2B+%281%2F6%29x <--- study guide answer
These are exactly the same answer.
