My study guide listed the answer as 4+1/6x, while algebrator has given me the answer (x+24)/(6). Could someone explain this in detail?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let's work the problem out.
I don't like fractions, so the first thing I'm going to do is multiply every term by the gcd of the denominators... in this case 6. Now since this is an expression, I will need to divide everything by 6 when I get my final answer.
Now remember to divide by 6. <--- algebrator answer
Now distribute through the 1/6 <--- study guide answer
These are exactly the same answer.
Hope this helps!
