You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you had to do the problem 1/2 - 1/3 you would need to find a common denominator. The easiest way is to do 2 x 3 = 6. This approach doesn't guarantee the Lowest common denominator but it always gives a common denominator.
In this example
2%2F%285w%2B10%29+-+3%2F%282w-4%29
Factorise the bottom numbers as much as possible.
2%2F%285%28w%2B2%29%29+-+3%2F%282%28w-2%29%29
A common denominator is found by multiplying 5 x (w+2) x 2 x (w-2)

%282%2A2%28w-2%29-+3%2A5%28w%2B2%29%29%2F%285%28w%2B2%292%28w-2%29%29
%284w-8-%2815w%2B30%29%29%2F%285%28w%2B2%292%28w-2%29%29
%284w-8-15w-30%29%2F%285%28w%2B2%292%28w-2%29%29
%28-11w-38%29%2F%285%28w%2B2%292%28w-2%29%29
%28-11w-38%29%2F%2810%28w%2B2%29%28w-2%29%29
