You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let two numbers be 'x' and 'y'
Given:Sum of the numbers, x+y=45 .....(1)
Difference of the numbers,x-y=11 .....(2)
We have to cancel any one variable, if we add the equations'y' will get cancelled
x+y=45
x-y=11
2x=56
x=56/2
x=28 ...(3)
Substitute the value of x in say equation 1
x+y=45
28+y=45
y=45-28
y=17
