You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let the number of girls= g
and number of boys= b
The sum of the girls and boys = 41
Therefore,
 g + b = 41       ......(1)
 Now there are 3 more girls than boys,
 g = b + 3        ......(2)
Substitute the value for g in equation 1
 g + b =41
 b + 3+b =41
 2b+ 3= 41
 2b= 41- 3
 2b= 38
 b= 38/2
 b= 19
 Now substitute the value of b in (2)
 g= 19 +3 = 22
