Hello I just asked this same question, but I'm not sure I wrote it out correctly. Here is the problem..
Four fifths is equal to ten sixteenths of a number.
4/5=10/16n Thank you in advance for your help!! I'm having a difficult time helping my son with his homework

Let the number be N
10%2F16 of a number = %2810%2F16%29N, or 10N%2F16

We now have: 4%2F5+=+10N%2F16

50N = 64 ------ Cross-multiplying

N = 64%2F50, or highlight_green%2832%2F25%29

This means that: 4%2F5+=+10%2F16 of 32%2F25%7D%7D%2C+or+%7B%7B%7B4%2F5+=+10%2F16+%2A+32%2F25, or 4%2F5+=+%2810%2F16%29%2832%2F25%29

4%2F5+=+%282cross%2810%29%2Fcross%2816%29%29%282cross%2832%29%2F5cross%2825%29%29

4%2F5+=+4%2F5 (TRUE)
